Residents and stakeholders of the Domeabra–Obom Constituency have expressed profound appreciation to the Member of Parliament, Hon. Isaac Awuku Yibor, and the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Ocansey Kubi, for their leadership and commitment following the successful sod-cutting ceremony for a major road construction project in the area.
The project involves the construction of a 10-kilometre road network linking Ashalaja through Hobor to Nsuabri, as well as Obom Junction to Obom, a development widely described as a long-awaited milestone for the constituency.
The sod-cutting ceremony was performed by the Urban Roads Engineer, Ing. Sowah, on behalf of the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Governs Kwame Agbodza, marking the official commencement of works. Community members and party stakeholders lauded the event as a clear demonstration of government’s commitment to infrastructure development at the grassroots level.
Commendation was also extended to the Constituency Executives, led by the Vice Constituency Chairman, Dr. Abbeam Danso, whose coordination and dedication were instrumental in the successful organisation of the historic event.
Traditional authorities, including revered chiefs and the queen mother, were acknowledged for gracing the occasion and lending their unwavering support, reinforcing the strong collaboration between traditional leadership and political authorities in advancing development.
Further appreciation went to Branch Executives, Ward Coordinators and Assembly Members, who turned out in large numbers and worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth execution of the programme.
Speaking on behalf of the MP and the Constituency Executives, party leaders reiterated their gratitude to all individuals and groups who contributed in diverse ways to the success of the event.
They recalled that both the MP and the MCE had consistently assured constituents of their resolve to see the road project materialise – a promise that has now been fulfilled.
The roads are expected to significantly improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and boost economic activities, particularly by easing the transportation of farm produce to major market centres across the constituency.
Residents expressed optimism that the project will serve as a catalyst for sustained socio-economic development in the Domeabra–Obom Constituency, while reaffirming their support for ongoing and future development initiatives.
