Ashaiman NDC Unity Walk Hits The Rock

Ashaiman,  a known strong hold of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is loosing it’s title due to the disunity among the constituency executives.

A purported  unity walk that was organized mainly to bring party supporters and sympathizers together in order to test it’s support base has been abandoned by known party personalities in the constituency.

Residents expressed shock at the low patronage of the unity walk, questions began to fly in all corners of the area to find out the already flopped and disorganized program  from the constituency executives.

When this portal interviewed some of the astute party members who did not take part in the walk for their reasons, they accused their Member of Parliament (MP), hon Ernest Norgbey of disrespecting the party structures  and trying to have full control of the party in the constituency.

According to them,  there is a serious loggerhead between the chairman, hon. Tony Afenyo and the MP over full control of party resources that comes to the constituency.

They have accused the executives of destroying the party at the constituency level, therefore calling on the party heirachy to intervene.The party executives could not explained to the media why the  re-energized party members  failed to partake in the walk but rather imported people from kpon katamanso, Tema and it’s environs.
