Acclaimed Nam 1 ‘Brother’ Stanley Kodia Exposed – Ghanaiandemocrat.com

Since the Menzgold saga broke in September, there has been a lot of connoisseursand social commentators who have commented on the issue and offer various solutions on how they think government can handle the issue to bring peaceful resolution to the matter and at the end all aggrieved customers received their investment.

Menzgold went down a similar thoughtless path when the concerned Regulators, simply asked for clarifications in respect of its taking of deposits from the public and subsequent payments of interests. Instead of simply furnishing the Regulators with this basic information, Menzgold childishly attempted to court public sympathy by a series of unethical and ignorant press releases, all geared towards painting the Regulators black, in the eyes of the public which backfired woefully.

At this point, the customers of Menzgold themselves have been ridiculed for being greedy or gullible enough to invest in the scheme. Some people used to be equally dismissive of Menzgold’ clients but they have gradually come to have some sympathy for their case.

Unfortunately, one customer of the company, who resides in the United Kingdom, called Stanly Kodia has consistently taken to social media to malign and throw spurious and unfounded allegations against  some  government officials, the Executive Director of EOCO, ACP K.K. Amoah, the Board Chairman of Menzgold, Mr. Fred Frimpong, and some notable personalities.

The young man, who goes around parading himself as the brother of Nana Appiah Mensah and even assaulted Afia Schwarzenegger in the UK for allegedly speaking against NAM1, over the past few weeks has spewed a lot of tirade and its unflinching attempt to taint the image of EOCO, especially the Executive Director, Mr. Amoah, in order to derail his efforts to retrieve NAM1’s assets per the court order.

Our independent painstaking monitoring, interviews, eavesdropping and nosing round shows that, Lance Corporal Stanly Mensah Kodia, was the Head of Defense Medical Services in UK.  He joined the Army in April 2011 at the age of 18.

He joined the army because he believed that it’s a highly demanding career that brings new challenges every day and a job that will keep him active and challenge his intelligence.

He then did 3 months basic training in Pirbright Aldershot. He then went further to do phase 2 training in Keogh barracks before he was deploy to Afghanistan to treat injured soldiers and to serve them food.

In all our investigations and interactions in the UK and in Ghana, we found out that Stanly Kodia, aka KOD, is nowhere related to Nana Appiah Mensah and his family.

The Team, was curious to find out why he holds himself as a brother of Nana Appiah Mensah. We find out that he became a friend to the CEO of Menzgold when the UK branch was opened in July at the Berkeley Square, May-fair, London, where he also got the opportunity like any other customer to take pictures with NAM 1.

He later tried to get close to NAM 1, but due to his busy schedule they never met. According to one of NAM’s close business associate, Kodia was introduced to NAM’s cousin, Mr. Fiifi Ohene-Asiedu who later introduced him to NAM’s wife, Ms. Rosa Tetteh in the UK.

Our further checks also revealed that, most of the allegations Stanly Kodia churns out of his social media platforms, especially, on Facebook live was given to him by Fiifi Ohene-Asiedu and that explains why most of the information turns out to be untrue.

Mr.Ohene-Asiedu, is a cousin to NAM 1 who holds a British passport and like Stanly Kodia, he is also a soldier in the UK.

In one of his media rants, he alleges that several big men took money from Nana Appiah Mensah, who recorded them taking those bribes with his CCTV cameras and it will soon be made available to Ghanaians. He further alleged that the Economic and Organized Crime Office Boss, ACP Amoah took various sums of money from Nana Appiah Mensah and even went as far as taking phones from NAM1.

When he was challenged to provide the CCTV footages to buttress his allegation, he said he is waiting for Nana Appiah Mensah himself to do that.

He also alleged that One Bashiru, an officer at EOCO was the one going to the Chairman of Menzgold, Fred Frimpong for these bribes.

The Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) later reacted to the these allegations in a form of a  press statement  refuted the claims  and stated that it’s a deliberate attempt by unscrupulous persons to taint the image of EOCO to derail its efforts to retrieve NAM1’s assets per the court order.

The statement further stated that “The video is malicious and slanderous of the Executive Director. The supposed brother (KOD) of Nana Appiah Mensah has no basis for his allegations. We wish to state clearly that the statement is totally false.”

The statement concluded “That the Executive Director, Mr. K.K Amoah nor any member of Staff of EOCO has in no time received cash of any denomination not mobile phones nor 4X4 Land Cruiser from Nana Appiah.”

Our sources as EOCO, tells us the move to freeze all assets belonging to Nana Appiah Mensah, Menzgold Ghana Ltd, Brew Marketing and Other properties pursuant to Act 804 was to safeguard all the assets pending the determination of the matter in court.

According to our sources close to the Executive Director, there were widespread report from all the branches across the country that some workers are stealing some of the assets of the company, and per the authority conferred on the Executive Director by section 33 of the EOCO Act 2010 (Act804) to go to court and seek a freezing order of tainted properties /proceeds of crime of which no transaction on the said properties or in the said properties shall be undertaken to any party without the written authority of the Executive Director. 

“Very soon, all the assets we have tirelessly recovered and frozen will be paraded to all Ghanaians to see, how far we have worked in the interest of the company and the customers” the source said.

When the Investigation Team, challenged Stanley Kodia to substantiate his numerous allegation and to react to EOCO response, he went on social media to do another video challenging the EOCO boss to swear to the Volta gods at Nogokpo if he still insists that, he never accepted “Gifts” from Nana Appiah Mensah through lawyer Fred Frimpong.

Stanley who looked furious in the Facebook live video said that the release from EOCO calling his claims malicious and slanderous won’t stop him from speaking the truth.According to him, the popular maxim, “he who alleges must provide prove” does not work here, and as far as his Facebook fans believe in him, he will continue to speak to them.

Subsequently, we chanced upon a message between the Prince Tsegah, popularly known as De Don, the host of “You Sey Wetin” on Hitz FM, and Stanly Kodia, where the host of that program was asking the self-acclaimed brother of NAM1, to have a phone interview with him on radio to substantiate some of the allegations. Mr. Tsegah told him (Stanley) that he had played some of his audio recordings on his program, which has made EOCO to respond to the allegations, hence the need for him to come on radio and provide further and better particulars to buttress his claims.

In his response, Stanly Kodia said “I am sorry, but I am not going on any radio or TVStations. I just motivate the youth here on my Facebook. I am sorry for the disappointment”.

The Team also spoke with the Board Chairman of Menzgold, Mr. Fred Frimpong,who denied all the allegations leveled against him by Stanley Kodai. He averred that, he has never met the gentleman before and neither has he had any discussion with him.

“My friend that is a palpable lie. I can’t believe someone who is a trained military man in the UK can sit on social media and peddled falsehood in such a manner. How can a young man at his age, make spurious allegations against such officers of the state and lawyer like me who has built a solid reputation over the years? Is incredible,” lawyer Fred concluded.
