Abola Piam Inaugurates Council to Tackle Disputes
Abola Piam We, a Royal Dynasty of the Ga State in the Greater Accra Region has inaugurated its council that will handle all disputes in the Region.
The Council is mandated to take charge of all properties of Nii Tackie Oblie family and settle all disputes within the Ga State.
Also as part of its mandate, the Council is expected to handle out of court matters relating to especially land litigations to bring ever lasting solutions to all land litigation.
Speaking at the maiden inaugural ceremony held in Accra on Friday 5th September, 2020, the chairman of the Council, Nii Ayittey Anumle Oyanka I, explained that the Council would assist in all areas to make land issues solvable.
He noted that, state institutions like the court have had difficulties in resolving land disputes which are still in litigations.
He indicated that the council would collaborate with Regional House of Chiefs, Ga traditional council, the high and the lower courts, the Property fraud office of the Ghana Police Service and the local police stations in discharging its mandate.
On his part, the secretary of the council, Mr. Isaac Mettle Ofei was confident that the Council will deliver justice to the Ga state.
He reiterated their commitment to retrieve all lands and properties that are in the wrong hands.
He opined that the Council would not side with illegality and would ensure Greater Accra lands becomes litigation free.
Abdul Razak Tackie Oblie, one of the eldest of Nii Tackie Oblie family who doubles as the financial secretary for the council was very optimistic the council would bring solutions to the Ga state.
