Ablekuma North NDC Inuagurates Women’s Wing Working Committee
The opposition National Democratic Congress NDC has inaugurated the women’s wing working of the Ablekuma North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on Sunday.
The inauguration comes at the time the constituency is seen united toward the party’s victory for the 2020 general elections.
The working Committee is expected to convey the party’s campaign messages to the electorates.
Regional and Constituency executives, who took turns to address the gathering, predicted victory for the Party.
Delivering the her speech, the Ablekuma North Constituency NDC Women’s Organiser, Mrs. Nancy Nkansa Amarteifio, urged the women to unite in order to attain power in the upcoming general elections.
She noted that women are the dominant population in Ghana and therefore there is the need for them to support the men in their quest to win power for the people.
Mrs. Nkansa also entreated party faithfuls to rally behind the Parliamentary Candidate to win the seat for NDC which has eluded the party for many years.
On her part, the Parliamentary Candidate for the area, Mrs. Winifred Ashilley Mensah noted that the women’s wing must dedictate slot of time and put in more efforts in order to win the seat from the corrupt NPP government.
“There is nothing you will do without women and they are important in politics”, she asserted.
The Greater Accra regional Women’s Organizer of the NDC, Madam Felicia Mekpoi-Bortey, who inaugurated the committee charged them to give out their best and expect nothing but victory for the party in next general elections.
