More Economic Hardship in Ghana As ‘Pure water’ Price Goes Up

Prices of sachet water popularly known as ‘pure water’ is expected to go high at the local markets in the next coming days.
The price hike was due to the high taxes and increased in the cost of production and the charges from their service providers.
The high cost of doing business in the country is threatening the survival of small businesses leading to some job cuts in various private sectors.
To make it worst for the deprived districts in the country, the Pure Water Sachet Association of Ghana, Akwatia branch of the Denkyembour district of the Eastern Region  have agreed to  increase the price of pure water from gh2.00 to gh3.00 at a selling price effective Monday 15th October, 2018.
According to them, the price hike in sachet water was due to increment in water supply and their agents numerous charges.
According to our sources, retailers in the district were very shocked about the development describing the announcement as night made.
Residents who spoke to the our source could not hide their frustration saying they have indeed voted for bad government.
For them, ever since this government took the administration of this country their businesses have been collapsing from one way to the other.
