Spread the love

On behalf of the Greater Accra Regional Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and on my own behalf, I would like to wish every Ghanaian a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Special Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year message to former President, John Dramani Mahama, former First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama and their families as the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord bring hope of salvation and renew our faith and love.

Further, I wish to send our Xmas wishes to the leadership of the NDC, all of our members, foot soldiers and supporters and sympathizers, as we observe, celebrate, enjoy, relax, and recharge our spiritual batteries on this special occasion.

Let us all understand and appreciate the fact that, we all have contributions to make towards the development of our dear country, for politics should be something that you do to make a difference in your society.

It is therefore important to remind ourselves of the need to be moderate and measured in our celebrations to avoid any unpleasant happenings that will be injurious to us, as individuals and the nation.

To my colleague women in the NDC, especially the Regional, Constituency and Branch executives, let us use this as a time to look back. Maybe, over the family table, ask some questions. Ask your relatives and friends about their past; what they’ have been doing in the past year.

It’s also a great time for the great NDC family  to reflect on the state of our party  today, because there’s no doubt that we are having a big challenge ahead to reorganize ourselves, unite and forge together as a party and face  our political opponent in order to return to power in 2020 general elections.

The NDC has a great, radical tradition, a tradition of fighting for and winning political change. That’s something that, as we sit back and relax at Christmas, we can draw on, learns about; develop, into the New Year.

It’s very clear that we have to demand a different sort of society in Ghana. We have to demand a society that works for the common good, not just for the few.

Once again, I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year.
