GIMPA TEIN Prez. Donates Books To Tongo School

President of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Branch of Tertiary Institutional Education Network (TEIN), Mr. Roland Morbil Bamebaya has donated exercise books worth hundreds of Ghana Cedis to the Gare Primary School in Tongo, at Talensi, in the Upper East Region.

The donation which was described as widow’s might was part of the GIMPA President’s move to help improve teaching and learning in his former school in the Talensi District.

The books numbering 500, was donated for the Gare Primary School to distribute to the pupils so as to reduce the burden on parents for buying exercise books for their wards.

Mr. Morbil Bamembaya indicated that as an indigene of the Gare community in the Talensi district, it behooves upon him to give back to his community, hence, donating 500 exercise books to the school.

He added that “the donation is in fulfillment of my commitment to see the development of my people in Gare community”.

Also, he urged the pupils of the school to take their studies very seriously because it remains the only sure way to academic excellence.

In addition, the TEIN President donated about three bicycles to some youth in his village (Gare). After receiving the books on behalf of the school, the Head teacher of the Gare Primary School, Mr. Sompubey Boare Albert, lauded and saluted his former pupil for still having the school at heart.

The head teacher was of the view that if at last half of the former pupils of the school could donate one item or other the school would have been performing better than it is now.

Mr. Sompubey Boare as part of appreciation extended an invitation to the school’s Speech and Prize Giving Day later in the year.
